Last week was a very tedious week for me which was why I never got to post and I apologize. I hope your Monday didn’t start as boring and annoying as mine.
This outfit was inspired by my love for vintage and this wasn’t an exception starting from the lace top, the paisley pattern skirt, and as I love to give details about the history of a particular type of fabric, here you go…
Did you know? “(This pattern was named after a town “paisley” in west Scotland where it was produced within 18th&19th century.) also a thing from 1960s.
It is described as a tear drop-shaped motif with a curved upper end of Persian origin”
and of course the brogues shoes that gave the entire outfit a different look.
Btw, look at what God created 🥺
I normally take my pictures during weekends because weekdays are stressful for me and this very weekend I had a fashion show to attend and I didn’t want to take much with me so I decided to go with a black lace top to change into instead of the white I wore.
Personally, I think lace has never gone out of trend. It always come in different styles and forms.
When my aunt gifted me this skirt, I was so so unsure of what to do with it but then again I couldn’t reject it as it might give her a different meaning.
While trying to look for an outfit for my next post, I saw the skirt and decided to make good use of it and look how it turned.
These shoes 😍 I’m so in love with them and I think they can be worn with anything. (I mean, I wore it with a skirt. It’s brogues common).
They are so comfortable and cute.
I’m not really a lover of skirts like this as I have a certain “mentality” attached to long skater skirts, but I became really confident about the skirt as soon as I got to the fashion event and I received lovely comments from random people about my skirt. If you’re a fashion lover, I think you just find a good solution to clothes you thought you’ll never wear and you never can tell.
I can rock this outfit to church with a jacket(preferably denim) or to an event just like this👇🏾
or even a hangout with friends.
